| Bob Birdsall is the author of two books on the New Jersey Pine Barrens. The first "Seasons of the Pines, A Photographic Tour of the New Jersey Pine Barrens" is a collection of stunning color photographs taken in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. The book, distributed by Rutgers University Press, displays a wide array of the wildlife and plant life in the Pine Barrens, including many endangered and threatened species. Bob’s second book, "People of the Pines", presents in color photographs, the story and traditions of the hardworking people of the region. With roots going back over 200 years, many are committed to preserving the traditions and the environment of this special region. |

| School Assembly Program |
| Bob’s Assembly Programs, designed for grade levels from elementary through middle school, combine the messages of these two books in an informative, entertaining, and down-to-earth program young students can understand. Programs can be tailored to fit the time frame allotted, and most programs last 40 minutes to an hour with time allotted for question and answer sessions. If requested, the program can be a full day with visits to individual classrooms following the Assembly Program for more personal and in-depth question and answer sessions. The Program can also be part of the New Jersey fourth grade curriculum on the Pine Barrens. |

| Program for Clubs and Organizations |
Bob is a frequent guest speaker at meetings of a wide variety of clubs and organizations. He is an entertaining speaker on the subject of the Pine Barrens, as well as nature and wildlife photography. His talks are accompanied by dynamic slideshows that often include video.
